Works Great February 12, 2009 zd 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this after breaking a wheel stud with my factory lug wrench. It is very well made and easy to use.
Grrrreat Gorilla Product February 1, 2010 Dragonwort Castle 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This tool works great, much better than my older style pin torque wrench;1 click and it is torqued. No straining to see the pin position on the scale. Very easy to set-up and use and comes in a nice protective case. I only use a torque wrench 2 x yr on 3 vehicles so I can't write about durability and ease with frequent use, or calibration, which I understand needs to be done periodically with regular use. 5 stars from this weekend DIY'er. Great price through Amazon with free Prime shipping.
Didn't get what I paid for... April 25, 2010 R. Garrido (Fayetteville, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
because i think this tool is worth more than ~$30. the quality of this tq wrench is great! i've used it a couple of times so far but u will know it's not an ordinary store wrench. i like the loud clicking action, too. my wheels did not fall off after ~500 miles so i guess it's doing its job. though to be fair the real test is how long will it last and how accurate will it be down the road. it came in a nice package that includes a sturdy case. gorilla makes affordable but good products. i'm about to purchase their power wrench as we speak and amazon delivered yet again!
works perfectly January 31, 2010 K. Armstrong (Raleigh, NC USA) I bought this so that I would not have to worry about properly tightening lug nuts after changing a tire, and it works great. It's a good brand as far as I can tell and good deal for the money, regularly torque wrenches cost $70 at least in store.
Great wrench July 7, 2010 teancum (Zarahemla) I've used this for about 3 months to do several things, like:
*tighten lug nuts on my GM Sierra 2500 HD
*Tighten lug nuts on my fifth wheel and Toyota Siena
*Remove drain and fill plugs on the Sierra differentials and transfer case
It works great, has a rugged click to it when you've reached the set pounds of torque, and has a good click in the ratcheting mechanism as well. The pounds setting is easy to adjust, it has a great grip on it, and feels durable. It's a ½" ratchet but has a 3/8" adapter/ extension as well (usual size for ratchets/ sockets) so you can use it with all your sockets. If you need a ¼" ratchet, this may me overkill. I use it as a breaker bar and it seems plenty tough for that (see uses above). The reverse and forward selector mechanism works great. The case is compact and holds everything together. You will need your own socket set to get the correct lug nut socket however. Only thing to consider is the handle is really long (maybe 18") and was a banging into the ground while I was removing the drain & fill plugs under the vehicle but still got the job done. Not a defect in the wrench.
Price seems reasonable when comparing.
