The Torin 1.5 Ton Aluminum Racing Jack has a lifting capacity rated at 3,000 pounds and a saddle height of only 3.35 inches, making it easy to store in small spaces. It comes equipped with a rubber pad to prevent marring, a saddle that rotates a full 360 degrees, and dual side grip handles to make maneuvering and positioning the jack a much easier task. The two-piece handle has a machined non-slip knurled area to keep your hands from slipping while lifting your vehicle. This jack has a lifting range of 3.35 inches to 14.76 inches.

The jack did have to have the air bleed. The easiest way to do this is to have someone stand on the jack twist the handle clock wise and close the release valve and raise it to the max height. While raising the jack you will notice that it will not lift the person, which is good as it's pushing out the air from the ram. Once the jack is at the max height it will go after 20 pumps or so. Open the air purge valve (uploaded picture to show the air purge valve). Once you hear the air release close the air purge valve and then turn the handle counter-clock wise and lower the jack. Repeat as needed. After two or three time with a 200 pound person all the air was out and working great. This took about 10 minutes to do. I have a lowered 84 camaro and this jack works great for it. no problem with lifting it.

I have a Lotus and needed something small and light to haul to the track. This fits the bill perfectly. It has a rubber piece that protects the finish of your car. Works great!

If you never have to carry your jack anywhere and only roll it from one place in your garage to another, you probably won't appreciate the light weight. But if you ever have to carry a jack someplace, this is really the jack to own.
The same jack at the local Kragen's cost about $30.00 more.
I didn't have to bleed any air from mine but if I did, the instructions have been updated a little and they seem easy enough to follow.
I use mine just to lift one corner of my BMW 740iL at a time. It works great. It releases fairly smooth and doesn't just drop the car all of a sudden. Best of all, it's easy to carry.
